Social Media for Fashion

Social Media for Fashion

Fashion has always been an important part of people’s lives, and that is even more the case now that we can follow our favorite brands, tastemakers and photographers through social media. The Arab World is no exception to the trend, and Beirut, the fashion capital of the Middle East, is a focal point for fashion design and its increasingly digital incarnation. These days, being a leader in that field means mastering social media—Tweets, Pins, Likes and all.

So in October 2013, Raghunter and Keeward hosted a two day seminar, dedicated to teaching budding fashion brands in Lebanon how best to use social media to increase their fan base, clientele, website traffic, and overall online exposure.

Below are the lectures covered over the two days.

Developing Your Social Media Strategy

Speaker: Narina Najm

It’s easy enough to create a social media account, but brands need to think beyond the username. Knowing your audience, tailoring your content, and developing a long-term social media strategy are all essential to turn these online tools into a powerful part of your overall strategy, increasing interaction and gain new customers.

And if you think you don’t have an interesting enough story, this talk will prove that you’re underestimating yourself.
